Seymour Hersh (premio Pulitzer nel 1970), intervistato in una puntata di Empire, riguardo l'attuale situazione egiziana e la possibile reazione americana:

"What strikes me is: what we think and do may not be relevant anymore. We're much less relevant now. It just may not matter. Washington can sit there and worry with the Israelis about the Brotherhood... There are things happening about which we have very little control, which...which is probably good!"
